FAQ: Binary options trading
Trading
- What is a Binary Option?
A binary option (sometimes called a digital, fixed, or exotic option) is an option offered with a fixed return. The rate of return is predetermined by contract.
- How can OptionsClick help me trade?
OptionsClick offers a revolutionary new binary options trading platform, as well as account management and assistance. Our platform lets you to trade independently, request advice from trained professionals, examine your personalized trading patterns, and even receive a review by an account manager. Additionally, we employ financial analysts who can provide you with a comprehensive overview of the market on a daily basis.
- What is the return for a Binary Option?
A Binary Option always offers a fixed return. OptionsClick normally returns 70-85% when an option expires “in the money” and 0-15% when an option expires “out of the money.”
For example, an investment of $100 in a binary option that expires “in the money” will return $170-185 to the investor. That is, the original investment amount plus $70-85. Should the option expire “out of the money,” it will return $0-15.
- Why don't I receive a 100% return?
Although there are only two possible outcomes with binary options trading these outcomes are based on qualitative variables which have been converted into quantitative variables. The variables include world news, local economic conditions, market status, technical trends, and others. As a result, returns are not even.
- What is the Underlying Asset?
OptionsClick offers binary options on numerous internationally traded financial assets including commodities, stocks, indices and currencies. See our Asset Index for a complete list and additional details.
- Why am I limited to certain assets?
Binary Options trades are usually short term, which makes it hard to analyze assets lacking significant market volume. Therefore, OptionsClick offers binary options on assets that have a high trading volume. This gives our traders the best opportunity to earn significant profits.
- What instrument types and trading platforms
does OptionsClick offer?
OptionsClick currently offers three trading options:
√ High/Low
√ One Touch
√ Range
For complete details of how to use these financial instruments, see the Trader Basics page or visit our How To Trade and click on any of the three bars (“High/Low,” “Touch,” or “Range”) that appear under the “Open Account” banner.
- What is the Target Price of an Option or Trade?
The Target Price (sometimes referred to as the “strike” or “purchase price” of an option) is determined by OptionsClick based on live pricing feeds supplied by the Data Provider. The value represents the price at which OptionsClick will sell a particular option. Customers may buy any option that is higher or lower than the Target Price depending on whether they estimate the market value of the asset to rise or fall.
- What is the expiry time of an Option or Trade?
The expiry time is the time and date a binary option trade expires. The expiry time seen on the OptionsClick site automatically adjusts to the time zone of the client.
- What if I want to close an Option or Trade
before the expiry time?
A binary option can be closed from within several minutes of the purchase until the “no more trades” time. Note: The ‘Close’ function may be inactive at certain times for certain options. It may even affect all options at other times.
Note: The ‘Close’ function may not be active at all times for all options.
- What is the expiry level of an Option or Trade?
The expiry level is the final position of the option once the trade has expired. The option will then be either “in the money” or “out of the money.”
- What is the difference between "IN the money"
and "OUT of the money"?
An option which has expired in the conditions you chose is considered “in the money.” An option which has expired in any condition you did not choose is considered “out of the money.”
The following examples are of option trades that ended up “in the money”:
- High/Low – You selected the HIGH option, and at expiry the option closed HIGH.
- One Touch – You picked the TOUCH option and at any one moment in time before the expiry the target price was TOUCHED.
- Range – You selected the IN option and at the time of expiry the option closed INSIDE the limits of the range.
The following are examples of binary option trades that ended up “out of the money”:
- High/Low – You picked the HIGH option and at the expiry time, the option closed LOW.
- One Touch – You selected the TOUCH option and the target price was NOT TOUCHED at any time prior to expiry.
- Range – You picked the IN option and at the time of expiry the option closed OUTSIDE the limits of the range.
- What happens if my Trade or Option expires at the Target Price?
This scenario is only possible by selecting the High/Low or Range instruments, and is known as an “at the money” expiry. In this case, OptionsClick will return 100% of the initial investment to the trader.
